How Did We Get Here?

In 2016, Parliament passed Bill C-14, which legalized assisted suicide and euthanasia throughout Canada.

The bill was passed on order on the Supreme Court of Canada, which had invalidated Canada's laws prohibiting assisted suicide and euthanasia in the Carter case.

Carter overlooked elder abuse and how legalization empowers heirs and other predators, especially in the inheritance context.

Carter claimed that there would be "no slippery slope" in Canada, which has already been proved wrong by subsequent events (the Lamb case).

Carter is based on a non-existent right to suicide.

Passage of Bill C-14 has rendered Canadians sitting ducks to their heirs and other predators, and provided cover to doctors for malpractice, experimentation and organ harvesting.

suicide is contagious

  • "If in my life I had seen, or I had known, that my grandmother had somehow used physician-assisted dying or physician-assisted suicide, or others in my family had completed the irreparable act, then it would have made it much more difficult for me to continue."
  • In Oregon, other suicides have increased with legalization of assisted suicide
